DS 123 (Filipino Identity and Culture) Mini-Exhibit Evaluation*

*Includes the 1st (reporting) and the 2nd part (viewing of non-DS 123 students)
Grading system: Group (5o%) + Individual effort (50%)

Filipino Religiosity (Group grade: 1.25)
-Ms. Luartes was able to answer most of the questions of the professor.
-The group prepared a powerpoint presentation about INC to compensate for the insufficient INC entries.
-The group classified (with compartments) their exhibit entries into 4 clusters namely: indigenous, Islamic, Christian and Eastern (not Others)
-The group has the most number of exhibit entries.
-The emphasis given to Christianity highlights the fact that it is the dominant religion in the country.
-The group provided food for the audience.
-The group had an adherent of Shinto religion and an INC minister.
Question: Okay lang ba talagang kinain natin ang ostia (for academic purpose)?

Death Culture (Group grade: 1.0)
-Most members of the group were able to report.
-Everyone has more or less contributed equally to the group's output.
-During the actual reporting, others were also giving their insights about Filipino superstitious beliefs.
-The group incorporated most of the Filipino superstitious belief about death (chick, rice, butterfly, mirror, etc.).
-A short skit was also shown as a jump-off point of the discussion.
-The group also had a film viewing of Crying Ladies (with content analysis).
-As part of the interactive component of the exhibit, the group conducted a survey.
-The group provided 2 sets of hand-out.
-Ms. Paguio was consistent in attending to the questions of the audience.
-Plus 14 for the P 14.25 donation from the viewers (interactive component)
-Plus points for the last will and testament and the death cetificate
-The group has the most number of interactive components (survey, abuloy, logbook, etc.)
-Ms. Roxas alternately explained the showcase of their booth and served as the group's mascot at the same time (higa-bangon-higa-bangon...)
-Ms. del Rosario contributed the "bulong" culture among community folks of Cavite.
-A makeshift lamayan for the Ira and Powie/Paui was provided.
-An interesting power point presentation about death was prepared by the group (apparitions, Ninoy Aquino, etc.)
-A diorama was displayed. Ms. Paguio also discussed the issue of economic divide/social stratification in a typical cemetery.
-The group imported Christine (Ms. Alfaro-look-alike) for the presentation.
-The group provided a Filipinas funeral parlor banner. (Paano ninyo nahiram?)

Filipino Sexuality (Group grade: 1.25)
-The group (led by Ms. Panlaqui) demonstrated the do's and don'ts of condom use (part of sex/population education)
-Condoms with Gary Lising jokes were distributed to the audience.
-Controversial issues were included (15 anyos, sex scandals, etc.)
-The group e-mailed a detailed progress report. (+10)
-Bodjie(with costume) served as the group's mascot (as phallic symbol).
-The group showed several video clips (Intramuros incident, etc.)
-A barrelwoman was showcased in the exhibit.
-The viewers were also allowed to browse the exhibited magazines/books.
-A definition of terms was provided (posted at the board).
-A module about Parenthood and Margie Holme's Q&A book were displayed.
-Fructal objectivity and Quiapo conconctions were exhibited and discussed. (Bodjie, magdala ka ulit ng mga halaman na may ugat sa susunod, kung posible)
