My basic tips in choosing a thesis topic

Choose a research topic that is:
- development-oriented, purposive, and contributory to the empowerment of the marginalized and disenfranchised sectors
- issue-specific, area-specific, sector-specific, time-specific and, of course, if it is a policy research or evaluation research it should also be policy-specific
- responsive to the identified research gaps in the field (hindi dapat palasak kaya mahalaga ang RRL)
- of interest to you
- within the limit of your available resources
- a product of serious reading, observation, interviewing, reflection/introspection and decision-making
