  • dss will elect a new chair (nominees: sir k and sir talampas)
  • i'm not a registered voter this '07 poll (but i think i've done my part in educating some voters)
  • many pinoys don't trust gloria, tessie and eddie (trust deficit=truth deficit)
  • trivia: mitch cuna (former councilor of mla's 5th district and a congressional aspirant) is a ds major.
  • alexander lacson's article which argues that pinoys are chosen people is a disappointment to many.
  • cas constituents deserve a better canteen (for purposes of hygiene, convenience, image, etc.)
  • the cas faculty profile is getting relatively younger (most of whom will leave cas before the age of 30)
  • the senate should remain an opposition bailiwick (pechay: ibaon sa lupa, h'wag itanim sa senado)
  • ms. potter is a good material for content analysis (especially on gender).
  • many pinoys are considering to work in u.a.e. and use it as a jump-off point to u.s. (escape from poverty)
  • dss reading room should be rehabilitated and made available to faculty & students (it's the small room near the bio lab ofc)
  • the philippine agenda of gma-7 is a commendable effort to remind everyone that the election should be issue- and platform-based.

In anticipation of the upcoming electoral race, prepare a short report about the Philippine May 2007 election update/situationer/issues/prospects. No hand-outs needed. No duplication of report. Limit the presentation to 3 minutes. A short quiz follows every report.

In connection with the topic above, prepare a panel discussion about the following topics:
