DS 100 Advisory

Our DS 100 class has been tasked by the Department
to hold an ACLE on February 5 (Tues., 2:30-5:30 pm)
as part of the DSS Week's line-up of activities.

It will be attended by the classes of other DSS professors.

Our ACLE will be a listening session and a content analysis of
progressive/protest/revolutionary/socially-relevant songs.

Note:

  • any English or Filipino song by foreign or local artist
  • 3-4 members per group
  • provide the audio CD and a copy of the lyrics

Submit the lyrics and CD of your group's chosen piece on
Jan. 25 (Fri.) for purposes of preliminary screening.

I will draft the program as soon as every group
has submitted their pieces already.

I will also form committees to ensure the success of the program.


  • Audio-Visual committee (technical aspect, reservation)
  • Stage design committee (stage, seating arrangement, malong)
  • Book mark committee (quotes from the line-up of songs)
  • Propa committee (RTR, posters)
  • Program committee (invitation, emcee)
  • Food committee (nilagang saba ng saging, atbp.)
  • Registration committee (attendance sheet, marshall)

I am assigning Onanad and Fernandez as my deputies.

This ACLE will be in lieu of your mid-term exam.
