Mabuti na lang ay nagising sa pamilyar na bulahaw sa kanilang kanto. Mabilis humakbang pababa ng sasakyan kahit wala namang humahabol. Listo dahil mayroon siyang kailangang habulin - ang natitirang lakas at ulirat.
 Bumaybay sa baku-bako at liku-likong daan tungo sa dampang tahanan. Pagkalapag ng kupas at tastasing bag ay agad na inasikaso ang mga nabinbing gawaing bahay. Napuyat, nakunsume, at napagod ang katawan at diwa, kapagdaka'y plakda.
 Maagang gumising. Nakipag-unahan makasakay. Muntik pang mahagip ng rumaragasang motor. Sumagi sa isip niya na sana'y nakiangkas na lang siya dahil baka pareho rin naman sila ruta ni manong.
Pumasok sa trabaho..hanap-buhay raw pero sa liit ng sahod tila hanap-patay. Sa hiwalay na lagusan sila pumapasok araw-araw. Sa kanilang trabaho'y bawal ang maliit, bawal ang mataba, dapat ay maganda/gwapo't maamo ang mukha...lookismo, heightismo - mga ismong iniire ng neoliberalismo. Pinagpostura ng mabilis. • Bilang mga mag-aaral ng lipunan, dapat ay mayroon tayong photo bank ng mga orihinal nating kuhang larawan ukol sa kultura, kapaligiran, politika at ekonomiya ng Pilipinas. Pansinin ito:  Kadalasan ay kumpleto ang isang mag-aaral ng kuha ng kanyang mukha sa lahat ng anggulo nito gamit ang mga modernong teknolohiya.  Subalit kung mag-uulat sa klase, kadalasan ay nakukontento na lamang gumamit ng mga downloaded na larawan.  Sayang ang kamera kung hindi ito imamaksimisa bilang isang research tool.  Pero siyempre, may mga kaakibat na konsiderasyong etikal ang photography lalo na kung ang tampok na paksa ay ang mga marhinalisado sa lipunan at konsiderasyong pangkaligtasan kung ukol sa mga mapapanganib na usapin.
