BE PART OF A HISTORIC PROJECT!

The Automated Elections System (AES)
2010 project is looking for:

-One IT-competent Researcher; and
Two IT Technical Study Researchers (part-time)

The AES 2010 project is a one-year nationwide policy study
on the May 2010 first automated elections that will look into
the viability of the election technology adopted by the
Commission on Elections (Comelec) as well as its legal
and political implications. An independent study, it is
conducted in partnership with the Dean’s Office,
College of Law, University of the Philippines (UP)
and will last until mid-June 2010.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

Position of IT Researcher:

Will provide the technical research of the AES 2010 study
from June 2009 to June 2010 under the Research Team;
Knowledgeable in research design and methodology,
and in writing regular reports for the study;
Preferably a graduate or graduating student of computer science;
Is willing to travel in the provinces to conduct field research,
survey, and observation

Position of IT Technical Study Researcher (2):

Will be part of the Technical Study group that will look
into the technical, infrastructure, and other features
of the Automated Election System;
Assignment will be per activity or as scheduled (part-time basis);
Competence in either computer science or computer engineering;
Is willing to travel in the provinces to conduct occasional
field research and observation starting particularly
in the 3rd quarter of 2009 up to May 2010
